The bigger, rounder area works effectively to apply foundation or highlighter on small areas. The second swab has two ends with small raised tags making the tips more abrasive. They can be used to clean ears. DO NOT PUSH THEM INTO THE EAR CANAL. The Q tips come in a compact bamboo case that opens and closes using magnets. The sticks are made from bamboo and the tops from silicone.
